The turret clock on Beijing Telegram Building, being called "No.1 Clock of China",reappears in front of people with a new appearance on December 1, 1995. The first-generation turret clock of "No.1 Clock of China" was provided by Germany, and the second was made by China Electric Clock Factory, Shanghai. With the change of times and development of science and technology,the second-generation turret clock cannot meet the demands of the time so Beijing Telegram Office decide to change a new turret clock which was made by Yantai Turret Clock Factory (the previous name of Yantai Chijiu Clock Group). The new turret clock with second-hand, delicate and decent, accurate and reliable, made"No.1 Clock of China"sparkle twice. (The normal work of the newly changed Beijing Telegram Building caused the great attention of many domestic Presses, and People's Daily, China Construction Paper, Beijing Daily, Yantai Evening Paper, etc all made press report in details about it.)
